Mountain Moon
I've enjoyed playing music with Pam Roberts for many years, and we've finally made it official by giving our duo a name: Mountain Moon, an homage to a very special song Pam wrote entitled "West Virginia Mountain Moon." Recent performances were at the Avalon Folk Festival in Paw Paw, WV, and Landmark Studio for the Arts in Sutton, WV.
Exploring Chinese Music
In 2017, I spent six months in China and had the opportunity to dabble in some Chinese instruments and study Chinese music, both traditional and popular. I returned in 2018 to study the erhu, a traditional bowed instrument.
